IEEE 802 Session Information

To: All IEEE 802 Members & Attendees

The November 2010 IEEE 802 LMSC Plenary Session will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas during the week of November 7-12, 2010.

Session Registration: Any individual who attends any part of a meeting that is a scheduled part of an 802 Plenary Session must register for the full session. Registration is available through a secure website or at the IEEE 802 Registration Desk On-Site. Session registrations are not transferable to another individual or to another plenary session. If you web register for an IEEE 802 session and then are unable to attend, you must request cancellation of your registration before the cancellation deadline to be eligible for a refund of the fees paid.

We strongly encourage web registration for this session, as it will save you much time spent waiting in line at the On-Site Registration Desk. In addition, if you register on the web during the Early Registration period, you will save $100. US.

The following Session Registration fees are required for the November 2010 Plenary Session:

  • Early Session Registration: $700. US prior to 6pm PDT, Friday, October 8, 2010 (before UTC Time: Saturday, October 9, 2010, 1am)
  • Standard Session Registration: $800. US until 6pm PDT, Monday, November 1, 2010 (before UTC Time: Saturday, November 2, 2010, 2am)
  • Late / On-Site Session Registration: $900. US after 6pm PDT, Monday, November 1, 2010 (after UTC Time: Saturday, November 2, 2010, 2am)

Web registration requires valid credit card information for the payment of the registration fee; checks are NOT accepted for web-registration.

The registration fee will be discounted by $300.US for all registrants who stay one or more nights at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Your name must be shown as a registered guest for a room at the Manchester Grand Hyatt or you will be required to show proof of your stay at the hotel. Attendees who share rooms at the hotel must ensure that all attendee names are shown on the reservation record or those attendees will be required to produce proof of being a registered guest at the hotel. The reason for the discount is that a significant portion of the IEEE 802 hotel room rate covers the cost of the meeting spaces and services the hotel provides for our group, so only attendees actually staying at the IEEE 802 hotel will receive this discount.

Please register for this session by clicking on the "Registration" link on the menu at the top of this page.

Note: We only provide e-mailed session announcements. Session information will continue to be available on the IEEE 802 web site at: http://www.ieee802.org/meeting/. Please check this site for registration info and possible late updates. We also have an email distribution list for announcements on late breaking plenary session information (e.g. overflow hotels hotel goofs or confusions, registration reminders, etc.). To join this list and stay informed about upcoming plenary sessions, send email to listserv@listserv.ieee.org with no subject and with the following 2 lines appearing first in the body of the message:
